<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">During President Donald Trump&#8217;s address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday night, he announced that he had signed an executive order renaming a wildlife refuge for Jocelyn Nungaray, </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">a 12-year-old Texas girl who was allegedly sexually assaulted and murdered by two illegal aliens in Houston last year.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The order renames the Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge near Houston the “Jocelyn Nungaray National Refuge” to forever commemorate the life of Jocelyn. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Last June, Alexis Nungaray’s 12-year-old daughter, her precious Jocelyn, walked to a nearby convenience store,” Trump said. “She was kidnapped, tied up, and assaulted for two hours under a bridge and horrifically murdered. Arrested and charged with this heinous crime, are two illegal alien monsters from Venezuela.&#8221;</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Released into America by the last administration through their ridiculous open border,” he added. “The death of this beautiful 12-year-old girl and the agony of her mother and family touched our entire nation, greatly. Alexis, I promised that we would always remember your daughter. … and earlier tonight, I signed an order keeping my word to you.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Trump then held up the executive order from the podium as </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Jocelyn’s mom, Alexis, who was a special guest of first lady Melania Trump, mouthing the words “thank you” to the president.</span></p>
<p>According to the White House, Jocelyn was killed by illegal aliens from Venezuela who are reputed Tren de Aragua gang members. The suspects have been indicted on charges of capital murder, kidnapping, and aggravated sexual assault. The White House said they were caught unlawfully crossing the border in early 2024 but were released into the U.S. by the Biden administration before allegedly killing Jocelyn.</p>
